After an outpouring of sympathy for Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Muslim high school student arrested on Monday for bringing his homemade clock to school, a neoconservative think tank funded by major defense contractors tried to justify the actions of local police and school officials, calling what the boy built “half a bomb.”
Following our story about the Center for Security Policy’s comments, social media users responded with mockery — some providing their own examples of what else could be construed as #halfabomb.

I remember seeing the world trade centers go down. I saw it differently than others. I remember hearing that it looked like a movie. It was not a movie.
That’s because Merkans have seen those bombs in TV and Movies all the time so they know how a bomb looks like. Did it count down or up?

FWIW *actually * the school officials properly reported the possible violation of Texas statue law regarding the possibly illegal possession of a HOAX bomb to the proper civil authorities ( Police ) but the raging progressive liberals are to ignorant to see that and also condone the Obama administration selectively NOT enforcing laws THEY don’t like i.e lawlessness as long as it fits the political narrative .

If the officials really thought that clock was a bomb, why wasn’t the school evacuated ? Why wasn’t the bomb squad called ? They knew it was not a bomb or ‘half a bomb’. Just another display of knee jerking jerks and the continued transformation of our schools into pre-prison track for so many children. It’s not about learning, it’s about control.

From Texas law:
“(1) make another believe that the hoax bomb is an explosive or incendiary device; or
(2) cause alarm or reaction of any type by an official of a public safety agency or volunteer agency organized to deal with emergencies.”
There is no evidence that Ahmed intended to cause alarm or deceive. He never once called it anything but a clock, and only intended to show it to his teacher. If there is anything even close to violating that law please state your evidence. Otherwise, since you are concerned with the proper application of Texas law I know you will now agree that Ahmed did not in fact violate the Hoax law. …right?
