Hayden I/II

Ground Based Geo-Location (Vehicular)

Project Hayden is a survey, interrogation, stimulation, denial of service, and geo-location system to track high powered cordless phones (HPCP). Hayden can stimulate handsets to allow direction finding (DF) systems such as EB-200 or Hydrah to ground track. Ongoing development will allow Hyden software be ported into Project Traveler.

Limitations and Planning Factors

- DEVELOPMENTAL - Weight: 30lb - Initially a 4 channel system to be increased to 12 channels for air operations - Requires EB200, HIDRA or HEAT for DF

BAE Systems
U.K.-based BAE's pods “are designed to find and eavesdrop on electronic emitters, identify them, then offer aerial precision geolocation (APG) and copying. SIGINT/ELINT pods and equipment can already be installed in larger [drones] like the USAF's RQ-4 Global Hawks, and aboard light surveillance planes like the Beechcraft King Air MC-12Ws.” — Margot Williams, The Intercept
