(U//FOUO) The SINIO Council and the National Cryptologic School are pleased to present the
tenth in a series of Strategic Intelligence Issue Seminars for Summer 2003. "Political Islam What's Next?" will be presented by the Deputy SINIO for the Near East and South Asia,
, on 28 August from 1100-1300 in OPS1, room 2N092 . Advance registration is
required; instructions are provided at the end of this article.
Course Overview:
(U) After the fall of Saddam, the start of the "roadmap" process in the Middle East, and the
continued U.S.-led War on Terrorism, what is next for political Islam? Will U.S. actions moderate
Muslim governments, or will radical elements force those countries to harden their stances? We'll
examine trends in the Muslim world and what challenges and opportunities they present for the
United States.
