He focused on the topic of Third Parties, a subject he also highlighted in a recent SID today article . Mr. Meals emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities in the form of cooperative ventures with Third Parties, and discussed NSA's "Strategic Directions" foreign affairs initiative, which will give the Agency a structured process for dealing with these issues. (S//SI) Mr. Meals further remarked on the importance of military-to-military intelligence relationships, saying that they add a key dimension to our international relations: trust. This is especially true when the U.S. and Third Parties are working as coalition partners, he added.
