FROM: Deployment Services Unknown Run Date: 11/07/2003 (S//SI) Are you looking for a job at the front end where you can use your SIGINT experience to make a difference? SID is looking for high-powered, experienced SIGINT analyst to support the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) in Baghdad, Iraq. The individual selected will be working for the NCR Iraq (currently a three-person operation -- NCR and two rotating analysts) to provide SIGINT support for CPA reconstruction of Iraq. (S//SI) This is a rotational deployment for a duration of 90 days; training work-up time/deployment preparation is approximately one to two months, depending upon the skills that the deployer already possesses. Military and civilian personnel are eligible for these deployments. We are seeking military personnel at the E-7 or E-8, CW-3 or CW-4, and O-3 or O-4 level, or rough civilian equivalent GG-12 through 14. Personnel must have experience in areas common to SIGINT analysis (MIL SPECS: 1N47 or above, 98C, 2629, NEC 9138 or OJT) or civilian Intelligence Analyst career field. (S//SI) Duties include: Review daily SIGINT product and select those most important product reports to include in the intelligence update to Ambassador Bremer and other key officials. Be prepared to answer questions senior CPA personnel may have regarding the product. Provide daily reports to NSAW feeding back items of interest and comments made concerning product. Researching information in support of CPA questions/queries Ascertain daily-changing customer interests and priorities and providing that information to NSAW product line manager for better resource (linguist and analyst) management. Input customer requirements through submission of Information Needs into the NSRP Database actions and track resolution Assist the NCR in addressing a full range of SIGINT and IAD matters including: - DA strategies and implementation efforts in Iraq, - Coordinating interagency strategies, - Compiling personnel rosters of NSA personnel in Iraq, - Developing briefings to support NCR operations, - Educating customers on SID and IAD products and services, - Coordinating efforts with Second party partners. (S//SI) Individual must have a strong foundation in SIGINT analysis and staff work. This includes a background in target reporting on Iraq including the emerging leadership, Iranian interests and activities vis-Ã -vis Iraq, and a good working knowledge of the counter-terrorism target as it relates to Iraq. The individual must have personal accounts and strong working knowledge of databases critical to carrying out responsibilities and extensive knowledge of NSA organizations so that he/she can reach back quickly and effectively. A working knowledge of the CPA and military command structures is also highly desirable. (U//FOUO) The NIST Branch, in coordination with several agency offices, will train and equip deploying personnel. The candidate's professional background and experience will determine the amount of time for training. Normally, training consists of a three to six week pre-deployment package, to include extensive analysis training for specific mission operations, target areas of interest, weapons, as well as personal protective measures training.
