(U//FOUO) We are pleased to announce the offering of the following UNCLASSIFIED seminar (registration required): TITLE: IDENTITY THEFT PRESENTER: , Interagency OPSEC Support Staff DATE: 2 SEPTEMBER 2004 TIME: 0930-1130 hours LOCATION: Headquarters,Room 9A135. (U) DESCRIPTION: Identity theft is becoming more and more common these days. From running up stolen credit card purchases to creating false identification cards or passports, identity thieves have myriad reasons for stealing your identity. Thieves can find out information about you from simply rummaging through your garbage cans and pilfering your mailbox to involving you in telephone and Internet scams. (U) This workshop gives a comprehensive understanding of: How identities are stolen; How the stolen identity might be used; What to do if your identity is stolen; and, How to protect yourself from becoming a victim. (U) OPEN for all SID employees. Limited seating, please register early. (U) Please join us in learning about this fast growing crime and some simple tricks on how to keep it from happening to you.
