NSA Hosts First Africa ROCK DRILL

SUMMARY

The NSA held its first “rock drill” for members of the intelligence community to look into issues related to Africa. The intelligence community allocates few resources toward signals intelligence in Africa, despite the continent's importance to counterterrorism, in part because it has too few translators who speak African languages, necessitating unconventional partnerships across agencies and with other nations.
