ask, "What is a SMI?" SMIs are new to the SIGINT mission. There are five SMI teams that
represent SID and advocate our needs to the enabling organizations (Facilities Services,
Associate Directorate for Education and Training, Information Technology Directorate, Security,
and Human Resources).
