Menwith Hill Station Reports on Iraqi Mosque Bombing and Response

SUMMARY

The NSA’s station in Menwith Hill, United Kingdom, scrambled to cover the aftermath of the bombing of the Golden Mosque in Samarra. Menwith Hill closely followed communications intercepted from members of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and the Badr Organization, and reported back on the unrest and violent responses from the Shiite population.
