Welcoming the New SID Senior Enlisted Leader

SUMMARY

A new Senior Enlisted Leader for the Signals Intelligence Directorate has been appointed. His job is to advocate for the military workforce and to "keep the communication open" between the SIGINT Director and the military workforce.

Quirk, USA SIGINT Director Run Date: 08/08/2006 (U//FOUO) It is with great pleasure that I announce that CMSgt USAF, has been selected as the new Senior Enlisted Leader for the Signals Intelligence Directorate. CMSgt was previously the Senior Enlisted Leader for Data Acquisition and has almost 27 years experience in the SIGINT community in space operations, training and evaluation, career field management information warfare operations and mission management. (U//FOUO) He has served in work centers at NSA headquarters and in the field to include NSA/CSS Hawaii and participated on numerous Air Force and NSA strategic planning boards. CMSgt is a graduate of the Joint Military Intelligence College. He brings a wealth of operational and leadership experience to SID staff. I look forward to working with CMSgt in the months ahead. Chief Master Sergeant , USAF (U) The SEL's Role (U//FOUO) The SID Senior Enlisted Leader bears many responsibilities. In addition to serving as an advisor to me and other SIGINT leaders, he also acts as the internal assignment manager for military personnel within SID. He advocates for military personnel and helps to shape policy on issues that affect the military workforce and mission. He keeps the lines of communication open between me and the military workforce and the civilian workforce who serve with them. (U) Farewell to (U//FOUO) CMSgt replaces SGM , who retired after 30 faithful years of service to his country. During his two and a half years in SID, SGM did much to improve the military assignment process and helped improve military training procedures and the awardstracking process. He also enhanced civilian-military relations across the directorate. I thank SGM for his outstanding contributions and wish him the best in his retirement.
