(Repost.) The NSA employee who served as SIGNIT Liaison Officer to Norway when the Russian submarine Kursk sank recalls the Norwegian Intelligence Service's bird's-eye view of the catastrophe. Because of the NIS' ability to surveil the Russian fleet underwater, they were the first to know when the ship exploded, and they continued monitoring the situation throughout the salvage operation.
