1. I am a United States Postal Inspector assigned to the US Postal Inspection Service Jackson,
MS, field office. I have over 13 years of experience as a law enforcement officer. During
the past 22 months I have worked for the US Postal Inspection Service conducting
numerous criminal investigations involving narcotics trafficking through the United States
Mail.
2. On or about December 5, 2022, Postal Inspectors from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service
Office in Jackson, MS identified a suspicious USPS package
3. Inspectors examined the package thoroughly and discovered indicators that are typical of
narcotics packages sent through the mail. The sender's name - and the recipient's
name are not associated with the addresses on the label according to USPS
databases. The sender's post office box I MS has been closed since Sept
11, 2022 and was not registered to anyone named- • In addition, 11 other packages
bearing the same packaging, size, weight, handwriting, and sender were mailed at the
same time to different recipients across the country. The mass nationwide mailings of this
kind are typical of illicit drug sales through the internet.
4. Richland Police Detective Lieutenan- inspecteid the package with his certified
narcotic K-9 "RIP." During a multi-parcel K-9 inspection, "RIP" "alerted" on the mail
package previously described. Detective Lieutenant
