Based in Edmonton, Canada, Amber Bracken is a lifelong Albertan and covers assignments across the province and farther from home. After getting her start on staff at the Edmonton Sun, she has moved on to a freelance career and the pursuit of documentary projects. Her interest is in the intersection of photography, journalism and public service, with a special focus on issues affecting North American Indigenous people. Her work from Standing Rock was recognized by the World Press, ICP and POYI.
