Brian Knappenberger is an award-winning filmmaker whose most recent critically acclaimed series, "The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez," spent weeks at number one across all genres on Netflix. His previous films "Nobody Speak: Trials of the Free Press and The Internet’s Own Boy" premiered at the 2017 and 2014 Sundance Film Festivals - the latter won the Writers Guild Award for Outstanding Documentary Screenplay and was shortlisted for an Academy award. His other work includes the WGA award nominated "We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists" about the online hacktivist non-group Anonymous; the documentary series "Truth And Power," recognized by the ACLU with their Social Justice in Media award and numerous other investigative documentaries for PBS, Pivot, Bloomberg Television, National Geographic, and The Discovery Channel.
