Matt Kennard is a researcher for Action on Armed Violence in the U.K. He was previously at the Centre for Investigative Journalism in London as a fellow and then a director. He is the author of two books, "Irregular Army: How the U.S. Military Recruited Neo-Nazis, Gang Members, and Criminals to Fight the War on Terror" and "The Racket: A Rogue Reporter vs. the American Elite." He has worked as a staff writer for the Financial Times in London, New York and Washington, D.C., and has written for the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and The Guardian.
