He was previously an editor at The Influence and his work has appeared in Quartz, Alternet, Vice News, the Daily Beast, the Christian Science Monitor, and Syria Deeply. He is the co-author, along with Chris Russell, of the forthcoming graphic novel "Farewell Homeland."
