A member of the Canim Lake Band Tsq'escen and descendant of the Lil'Wat Nation of Mount Currie, he’s currently working on a book tentatively titled “We Survived the Night” that braids together reportage about Indigenous peoples in the United States and Canada with personal narrative. It will be published by Alfred A. Knopf in North America, Profile Books in the U.K., Albin Michel in France, and Aufbau Verlag in Germany.
