John Cook is the former Editor-in-Chief of The Intercept. Prior to that, he was the editor-in-chief of Gawker, where, among other things, he broke the story of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s crack cocaine use. He has worked as a reporter or editor at Radar Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Mother Jones, Yahoo News, and Brill’s Content, and is the co-author of “Our Noise: The Story of Merge Records.”
